More than 100 eggs, dressed up as princesses, grandfathers and story characters, are being carefully watched over to make sure they make it through the week without cracking.
Year 2 teacher Mandy Newdeck says it has really captured their imagination.
She said: "We wanted to get involved as it's a national charity and it's great to do our bit towards raising funds for it. The children enjoyed decorating the eggs and are learning about caring, being thoughtful, respecting each other and being careful."
The youngsters raise money for the children's charity by asking their family and friends to sponsor them to keep their eggs safe.
