THREE people will contest an election next month to fill a vacancy on Tewkesbury Town Council.

The three candidates for the Tewkesbury Town with Mitton ward are Peggy Ann Clatworthy, Andrew Mark Smith and Mark John Woodward.

Voters will be asked to go to the polls on February 14 to choose one of them.

The town council has decided not to provide polling cards for this election and so electors should note the following information:-

There will be two polling stations for the election, at St Joseph's Church in Chance Street and Mitton Manor Primary School in Carrant Road.

The poll will run from 7am to 10pm. To find out details of which polling station to attend, contact Tewkesbury Borough Council's electoral services department on 01684 272025.

The deadline for registering to vote is January 30, the deadline for applying for or cancelling postal voting applications is 5pm on the same date and the deadline for applying for or cancelling proxy voting applications is 5pm on February 6.
