Enforce litter rules to clean up county
REGARDING the article on litter and lager bottles strewn here, there and everywhere, the majority of other countries, such as Europe, USA and China, are very clean and Singapore is spotless due to the very heavy fines.
Going back to basics, it starts from the family (and still does from the majority) but in many cases is forgotten.

Therefore the only solution is for Gloucestershire – being the centre of the Cotswolds – to set an example for others to follow. There should be a short mention in schools on people being caught and fined, and the current laws and fines being strictly imposed. That includes people who just get up and leave their rubbish behind, and the weekends, when people purchase fast food and throw the carton away.
There should also be a rule enforced where people, who get sick after too much alcohol , are made to clean it up or fined.

Enough is enough. It is up to the councillors to stop complaining and work with the police and courts to enforce these rules.
