Engine stolen from car in Cheltenham
THIEVES have stripped the engine and other parts from a car in Cheltenham.
Police are appealing for information after the blue Ford Focus was targeted some time
between Tuesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 20.
The car was parked in George Readings Way when offenders opened the bonnet and removed most of the engine, windscreen wipers and drivers' side front headlamp.

There has also been significant damage to the paintwork.
Police said the thieves did not attempt to break into the car and there was no indication the incident was malicious.

“What a load of errant nonsense. No one saw the engine being removed, the owner wasnt aware of what was going on & no attempt to break into the car was made?
Seems a little fishy to me - i wonder how convinced the insurance company will be? Assuming that the car was insured at the time of the 'theft'.
Another 'theft' story that doesnt quite ring true with me as heard of another so called 'theft' yesterday which i took with a large pinch of salt.”
