Speaking to BusinessWeek, he said the event was a good example of how young people could get into the industry and come up with new ideas.
He said: "What's very important is we can't build the country unless we focus on engineers. It's about encouraging young people to get into business, to get into engineering."

Hundreds of people attended the two-day Expo in the centre of Cheltenham, which showcased a fleet of cutting-edge low carbon cars and bikes with the aim of informing the public. Budding engineers from county schools showed off their latest low carbon projects, including cars they had built, in the Town Hall.
After a tour of the display, Mr Cable said: "There are some really exciting things here, this is what Britain is good at."
