Entrepreneurs on the rise in Gloucester
More than 100 people interested in starting up their own businesses have attended courses in Gloucester over the past 12 months.
The free courses are organised by the city council's Economic Development Team and are designed to provide a wide range of information covering everything from business planning, to finance and marketing.
City council leader Paul James said: "Over the past two years more than 300 businesses have started up, expanded or relocated to Gloucester. We know that a number of these have been people who have attended our 'start up' courses.
"These courses are coupled with a £120,000 package of financial help which can include contributions towards business rent or rates or property improvements.
