Evans: Time to create some momentum after derby joy
DERBY victory over Cinderford Town will not count for much unless Shortwood United back it up by taking points in this week's home double-header, according to boss John Evans.
Pleased to see his side edge a 2-1 win at The Causeway on Saturday, Evans has challenged his team to produce a similar performance when Evesham United visit tonight (7.45pm).

The Robins are a much-changed side in recent weeks with a battery of new signings following returning boss Paul West into the club.
And Evans knows that his side will have to be at their best in order to secure another morale-boosting result.

"Saturday's was a nice result as it gives us some confidence to go into two tough games on the back of three important points," Evans said.
"We just need to keep picking up those points as that helps us to establish ourselves in the Southern League.
"We can take a lot out of winning, but we have to make sure that we back it up now.
"Evesham have signed a few really good players and picked their form up in the last few weeks so it will be a tough test.
"We will know a lot more about our own credentials after this week. If we can pick up results against Evesham and on Saturday against Abingdon, who are pushing for the play-offs, we'll know much more about our own ambitions."
Evans was quick to praise two players for their key roles in Saturday's 2-1 success – goalkeeper Tom King and striker Matt Bennett.
Bennett scored a wonderful solo goal, while King was at his very best to repel a number of Foresters efforts as Cinderford held on for what Evans said was a fortuitous victory.
"Tom King was one of our stars on Saturday, but then again a number of our defensive players had outstanding afternoons," Evans said.
"We were a bit patchy on the ball and we usually try and play a little bit more than we were able to.
"Tom made three or four really good saves and Cinderford probably considered themselves to be a little unlucky.
"But I've said to the lads on a number of occasions that we've come away from games with less than we've deserved to after good performances, so we'll take results like that.
"It's a nice result as it gives us some confidence to go in to two tough games on the back of three important points."
Evans has no fresh injury concerns and hopes that he will be able to welcome talismanic forward Kevin Slack back to the side sooner rather than later.
The former Bishop's Cleeve man has been suffering with a niggling knee problem this term, but has noted an improvement since visiting a specialist.
Evesham come to Meadowbank on the back of an excellent 3-1 win at North Leigh on Saturday, a game in which another former Villagers striker Carl Brown scored his first goal for the club.
