Ewen knows it makes sense for Bourton
EWEN Smith achieved another massive personal best for 20 miles, just two weeks after setting his last one.
This time it was the Gloucester 20 Mile, as he knocked eight minutes off his previous time to record 2:12.22.
Only two ladies ran in a Bourton vest, but both Niamh Shoemark and Shirley Creed ran well to clock PBs of 2:42.22 and 2:53.06 respectively.
At the county road relays, Bourton's Under-17 boys ran superbly to win Under-20 bronze with the Vet 40 men just pipping the juniors to the line.
The Vet ladies won a battle against Angels to retain their County Championship title.
In the South West Schools cross-country, Corrigan Cox and Beth Pudifoot had great runs for 10th each overall in their respective Under 15 and Under 17 races.
Pudifoot was backed up by Beth Wynn, who snatched 32nd spot and Millie Mather hung on for 59th in the top class field.
Conor Shoemark ran well for 40th overall.
