IT WILL be a case of deja vu for Forest Green on the opening day of the Blue Square Premier season, with Kettering Town visiting the New Lawn on Saturday, August 8.

Jim Harvey's man began the last campaign with a trip to Kettering, managed by former Rovers captain Mark Cooper, and picked up a 1-1 draw.

The fixture will have added spice this time around, with recently departed Forest Green midfielder Lee Fowler now in the Poppies ranks.

Next to visit Nailsworth will be relegated Luton Town on Tuesday, August 18, followed by Wrexham on the final weekend of the month.

Both games guarantee large away followings to swell the coffers, as does the clash with promoted AFC Wimbledon on October 10.

A stand-out early away fixture is the short trip to Oxford United on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, while supporters will be relieved that the mammoth trips to Barrow and Gateshead both fall on Saturdays – September 19 and February 27 respectively.

Rovers host bogey side Salisbury City on Boxing Day, with the reverse fixture in Wiltshire on New Year's Day, and club bosses will be pleased with another home fixture against Tamworth on Easter Monday.

Harvey's side will finish the 2009/10 season as they finished the last, with a game at Grays Athletic on Saturday, April 24.
