FAMILIES devastated by the deaths of Ceri Fuller and his three children today issued a statement about the tragedy.

The following is a family statement provided by Ceri Fuller's father, David Fuller, from Hereford, on behalf of all the family:

It reads: "The Fuller and Tocknell families are devastated by this tragedy.

"Ceri was a gentle, sensitive and intelligent man but also a very private one. He loved his children dearly and they were such a focal point of his life.

"His relationship with each one of them was one of gentleness, involvement and attentive nurturing. Sam, Rebecca and Charlie were such charming individuals, brought up in an environment of love.

    “I think the last sentence from Mr Fuller is all that should be said here and Mr Tocknell should also comply. The constant publicity of the mother's private agony is really uncalled for; as an act of simple human compassion, leave her to find some means of coming to terms with all of this in private.”
