Fan given match ban
CARDIFF City football fan Gareth Harding has been banned from attending any football match in England or Wales for three years after a fight broke out in Stroud.
Gareth Harding, 35, was arrested on suspicion of common assault following the incident outside the Clothiers Arms in Bath Road, Stroud, at around 2pm on July 28.
He was later charged with the offence and appeared at Stroud Magistrates' Court on Monday where he was ordered to pay a £200 fine, £85 in court costs, £15 victim surcharge and £100 in compensation.
Harding was also issued with the Football Banning Order.

He is also restricted from being within a set distance of any designated football match for five hours before and after a game and cannot enter any town, city or country where Cardiff City Football Club or the Wales national team are playing.
Harding must also seek written permission from the British Transport Police if he wishes to catch a train to or from a place where Cardiff City or the Wales national football team are playing.
