Fan reaction: Laurie Cleevely's view of Cheltenham 2 Portsmouth 2
Robins fan Laurie Cleevely's view of Cheltenham Town 2 Portsmouth 2:
As the Robins put an end to some disappointing defeats, a characteristic point was achieved after Jermaine McGlashan netted both his first and second goals of the 2013-14 season.
It was incredibly frustrating to concede early on after hopes of a revival on the back of some poor performances, I think fans would’ve be expecting the team to come out and start energetically and get themselves an early goal.
The defence are making too many mistakes at the moment, Elliott and Inniss calamitously colliding just sums up our defensive worries, however, Richards adapted well to a familiar left back role, which is promising to see for our injury-hit back line.

Russ Penn showed he doesn’t take a first team spot for granted, and made a difference when he prematurely entered the field of play, working well alongside the impressive Noble to cause a few problems at the other end, and keep some pressure off the back four.
But game-saver McGlashan was arguably the star man, rescuing and point and showing glimpses of the McGlashan that fired Cheltenham to Wembley and a strong finish last season. He was running more directly at the Portsmouth defenders and his direct run in behind shows what he is capable of.
The team is definitely lacking something up front and not enough chances are being created let alone scored. The returning Cureton is required to add a spark up top and create something out of nothing.
It wasn’t the perfect game or result, but anything is an improvement on last week’s game, positives taken, on to the next one! Come on you Robins!
