Fatal crash on A46 – appeal for help

INFORMATION is being sought about a collision which claimed the life of an Evesham woman.

Diana Burgess died after a collision on the A46 near the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire border.

It happened at 9.45am on Tuesday when her Kawasaki 650cc motorcycle was involved in a collision with a black Peugeot 308 on the A46 between Beckford and Ashton under Hill.

The driver of the car was not hurt in the crash, but 40-year-old Diana was declared dead at the scene.

Witnesses should contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting reference number 57N 16/10/12.

The Peugeot driver – a man in his 40s from Bristol – was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was released on police bail until the third week of December.
