Festival needs to stay in the loop with hearing
I ATTENDED the Cheltenham Literature Festival talk Captain Scott's Men in the Town Hall (October 10).
As I am hearing impaired and use two hearing aids, I asked the lady who was checking tickets at the entry door if there was a loop system. She didn't know.
There may have been such a loop but it most definitely was not working.
On my way out I asked a young lady on the platform why the loop system was not switched on. She had no answer other than I should have checked with the event manager.

Surely the event manager should check that the loop system was on and functioning correctly before all events?

“Why did you wait until the way out, kick up a stink there and then”
