“Film Fantasia recreates Titanic!
Most of us watch the telly and imagine seeing ourselves on there. Often we imagine ourselves playing our favourite characters, and now you can do just that in this weekly video & drama class. You can have a go at acting, learn about video equipment, and take part in editing scenes to make short films. We are a friendly and relaxed group who spend time in the sessions talking about our favourite films and TV programmes before creating our own unique versions.
This weekly class has been running for a little while, but now has a new tutor! My name is Jarek, and although I'm new to Artshape, I'm an experienced tutor, who pioneered using video and drama back in Cardiff where I wrote a training manual for other tutors showing them how to create work that was a true reflection of the ideas of the group. It's really important to me that everyone in the group contributes to the video in whatever way they want to. Group members can see their ideas being transformed into fantastical films, whilst learning useful skills about video and editing.
We're looking for new group members who want to set free their creative side, learn some new skills, and have some fun!
