Fines handed out for double yellow parking in Barton and Tredworth
Fines were dished out to motorists in Barton, Tredworth and White City last week in a police crackdown.
Fourteen people were handed £60 fixed penalty notices for parking on double yellow lines, four people were sent warning letters for being just over the speed limit and four vehicles carrying waste were stopped, with one person fined 'several hundred pounds' for not possessing a waste carrying licence and another warned about the use of a loud speaker.
Operation Tizer saw the local policing team addressing concerns from the public around speeding, scrap metal dealers and parking.
Police Constables and Police Community Support Officers were joined by Environmental Health Officers and Civil Enforcement Officers to take a range of measures on Thursday and Friday last week.

These included the use of a speed van to monitor how fast people were travelling along several roads, patrols around local schools to check for obstructive parking and parking on double yellow lines and roaming checks for any unregistered waste carriers.
PC Jo Cryer said: "The community has asked us to take action on these issues and that is exactly what we have done.
"Obstructive and dangerous parking can be a real issue around our schools while the risks of speeding are obvious.
"It's important we work with partners to check metal dealers are abiding by the laws and regulations and that stolen property isn't being transported around the county, so that was another important facet of the operation.
"The results are encouraging but I can reassure the public this is something we will continue to take action on.
"We're already looking at another operation in the near future."
In a separate operation in Hucclecote, a motorist carrying waste was also fined for not possessing a waste carrying licence.
