Fiona Fullerton praised on Strictly Come Dancing
THE Cotswolds’ very own Bond girl Fiona Fullerton got off to a solid start in her Strictly Come Dancing debut.
The 56-year-old former actress, who lives near Cirencester, is joint eighth on the leaderboard with 24 points.
Wearing a fiery red-dress, Fiona smouldered on the dance floor with partner Anton Du Beke in front of an television audience of millions.
Dancing a tango to Duran Duran’s theme song from the 1985 Bond film A View to A Kill in which she starred, there were a few missteps but the judges had kinds words for her.

Bruno Tonioli said: “I like the role-playing. I tell you, you played it very well.”
Len Goodman said: “There were a couple of incidents, but the content was amazing. There was so much going on Fiona – you were as sharp as a lemon tart.”.
Darcey Bussell said: “I was impressed as there was so much content… you were dancing! The only thing letting you down is your top line.”.
And Craig Revel Horwood said: “It’s lovely to see Anton dancing this series. It was a little rough around the edges. Make sure your left palm is facing the floor. It’s great he has a partner that can put one foot in front of the other.”
In a pre-recorded interview, Fiona, who is moving to the Montpellier district of Cheltenham, said: “ I’m very hard on myself if I don’t get something right, it’s that self-doubt I have to eradicate”.
Speaking about her first dance of the series, Fiona told host Tess Daly: “It is surreal, it is like I have walked inside a television set! It’s amazing!”.
Fiona and Anton scored 24 with a five from Craig, a six from Darcey, a seven from Len and a six from Bruno.
Top of the leaderboard is model and TV presenter Abbey Clancy and partner Aljaz Skorjanec with 32.
At the bottom, Hairy Biker star Dave Myers created much hilarity dancing the cha cha with Strictly professional Karen Hauer, scoring 16.
