FIREFIGHTERS had to help a young child whose finger was stuck in a bucket this morning.

A fire engine from Gloucester attended the scene in Dorney Road shortly before noon today.

A boy's finger had become trapped in a draining hole in the metal mop bucket.

Firefighters reduced the swelling of the finger and then used washing up liquid to ease the toddler's finger free from the bucket.
