FLOODING fears in the Tewkesbury area are easing as rivers levels slowly fall.
The Environment Agency still has a flood warning in place for the River Severn at the Severn Ham, including Abbey Mill, Upper and Lower Lode and Shakespeare Court.

And although normal seasonal flooding in the town, such as shown in this picture by Tewkesbury Abbey yesterday, remains, the agency expects levels to continue to drop over the next few days.
The Met Office is forecasting dry weather for Tewkesbury today and tomorrow and although some rain may fall on Sunday, the Environment Agency does not expect it to have a major impact and believes river levels will continue to drop.

“In regards to flooding in and around Tewkesbury, the LOCAL weather forecast is irrelevant. It's what's happening in mid Wales (Severn catchment) and the Midlands (Avon catchment) that is important.”
