Tewkesbury Borough Council's lead member for clean and green environment Councillor Jim Mason said: "This incident of fly tipping was particularly dangerous as it had been dumped in the middle of a road. Fortunately, the police were able to move the items to a safer area and our contractor will be clearing the items today.
"Fly tipping is illegal and it's something we take very seriously. To help combat the issue, we strongly encourage our residents to report any cases to us. If people are unsure what to do with larger household items, the household recycling Centres at Wingmoor Farm and in Hempsted can take fridge freezers, CDs, and many more items free of charge."

“This could be the travellers, or possibly whoever is doing the dumping knows that the travellers will get the blame so think to themselves why not dump it close to their site.”
