His injuries were originally said to be life-threatening and on Friday night as critical. However, police have now confirmed that he is in a stable condition.
Scott’s gold-coloured Citroen Saxo left the road near Cannop Ponds and rolled over.
It is thought he was found in a ditch near his car.
A police spokesman said: “The driver of the Citroen appears to have lost control of his vehicle which has then rolled before coming to rest on its nearside.”
Scott was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The Citroen was the only car involved in the collision and the road was closed between Parkend Way and Speech House Road until 1am.
Police said that they would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, particularly the rider of a moped or small motorcycle which was believed to be travelling along the road at about the time the collision happened.
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 090 1234, quoting incident number 361 of November 19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
