YOUNGSTERS will be spoilt for choice this summer when two Cotswold venues host free play day events.

As part of the Summer off the Streets programme, Cotswold District Council has teamed up with New Brewery Arts in Cirencester and World Jungle to stage two free sessions next week, organised for National Play Day on Wednesday August 4. An opening ceremony by Tiptop the Tiger will kick start the day. Children under-16 will also be given a free pass to use Cirencester's open air pool from 2pm to 4pm for a play day splashabout session.

On the same day, north Cotswolds youngsters can head to the Baden Powell Centre in Chipping Campden at 1pm.

Next month, the council will be staging similar mini-festivals called Summer Funtastics at Andoversford recreation ground on August 19 and at Tetbury, near Dolphin Hall, on August 24. For more information call 01285 623568.
