Frozen track at Cheltenham Racecourse - ground inspection this morning

CHELTENHAM Festival chiefs will inspect the course this morning to see whether racing can go ahead, after sections of the track froze overnight.

The inspection will take place at 10.30am.

However, racecourse bosses say 95 per cent of the course is fine and expect the first day of the event to run as planned.

They tweeted: "Wind chill down to -12 last night. 95% of track fine. Inspection 10.30am. Remain v confident that racing will go ahead."
