A ROAD is closed in Tewkesbury town centre following a fuel spillage.

The county council says 300 litres of kerosene escaped from a tanker in Oldbury Road this afternoon, forcing the authorities to close the road close to its junction with Sun Street.

A clean-up operation is under way.

“Yes, he's probably stocking up before the election. Before hopefully he gets booted out!”

“It must have been on its way to our MPs house as he regularly claims around £500 on his expenses as published recently on the internet. I assume it's to pay for his central heating out in the sticks, nice work if you can get it. I hope that the fumes weren't too distressing and the clean up went well.”
