He will be laid to rest at St. Katharine's Church in Matson Lane from 1.30pm.

Wife Sandra said everyone is welcome and Derrick requested in his final wishes that everyone wears happy, cheerful clothes including jeans, football strips and 'no black please'.

The service will be followed by a private cremation at Gloucester Crematorium.

The family have requested no flowers but instead donations are made to St. Katharine's Church and the Alderman Knight School in Tewkesbury.

They can be sent c/o Denmark Road Funeral Services, 129A Denmark Road, Gloucester GL1 3JW telephone number 01452 309903
