Gardens of England
We Brits pride ourselves on our green fingers and these holidays will enable you to visit some of the finest gardens in southern England.
Spring brings joy into the heart of every gardener with the colour that it restores to nature. With the warmth of the Gulf Stream and the mild climate Cornwall enjoys, its gardens have a head start on the rest of the country and are home to some of the most beautiful and rare plants in the British Isles.
Especially uplifting in springtime when bulbs are in full bloom, Cornwall's gardens are a sight not to be missed. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the woodlands garden at Lanhydrock and, of course, the Eden Project will thrill serious and amateur gardeners.
Cornwall is the UK's most south westerly county but Kent, which is the most south easterly, is often referred to as the Garden of England. Among its most treasured horticultural gems is Sissinghurst Castle Garden, created by writer Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson.

These famous gardens were built around the romantic remains of a moated Elizabethan manor house and tower and include intimate enclosed spaces or garden rooms, with floral displays of delicious colour and abundance.
Another jewel in Kent's crown is the garden at Great Dixter which was designed by the renowned architect Edwin Lutyens.
