'Geriatric' stand-up and Grumpy Old Woman Jenny Eclair is still hillarious as she comes to Cheltenham Town Hall
JENNY Eclair is going back to her roots as she tootles around the country with a new show that looks back on her three decades in stand-up.
Cheltenham Town Hall is one of more than 40 smaller venues welcoming the Grumpy Old Woman and her show Eclairious.

Next Friday she'll be holding court on subjects close to her heart, including drinking, middle age and weight gain.
And it is the latter subject which illicits the most fervent response from Jenny, who admits as the years have gone on, so has the weight.

"I set off on the road with all good intentions – swimming wherever I find a pool, using the gym when possible," she said. "Of course it all comes down to nothing but sitting in the car, eating sandwiches and drinking post-gig white wine."
She claims the weight has piled on because of this but still admits that, despite all this, she still really enjoys the touring life.
"Part of the show is looking back at 30 years in showbusiness," she said. "I am really enjoying it, which is a relief considering it's my job."
Although she describes herself as a 'geriatric stand-up comic', Jenny is a decidedly middle-aged 52 and still just as sharp on stage as she always was.
She talks enthusiastically about the venues she is visiting with Eclarious, admitting she would much rather play a packed arts centre than a big venue that is only half full.
"There's a lot of competition out there and there are a lot of bigger names on the road at the moment," she said, but quickly added: "I will tour until I drop."
