Glorious autumn colours on display at Westonbirt
GLORIOUS autumnal colours are being displayed in their finest form at Westonbirt Arboretum as trees begin their seasonal transformation.
Visitors to the forest, near Tetbury, are being treated to a spectacular natural show, as the vast array of 16,000 trees from Britain, China, North America, Japan and Chile begin to change colour. More than 2,500 different species can be seen at the National Arboretum, where a wet early summer followed by a warm spell has created the perfect ingredients for a colourful autumn.

“A beautiful place not just for the colours but the scents. The cercidiphyllums will soon be giving out the lovely smell of burnt sugar.”
