“I am not sure why some people are so miserable. These events provide the people of Gloucester the opportunity to have a fun, FREE, family day out, and yet, there are people perpetually moaning. It is putting Gloucester on the map and making it a destination worth visiting, which I am very thankful for.
I have been to nearly all the events at the Quays and I have nothing but praise for it, it always has wonderful producers with great food and really high quality crafts. I actually think it is a great way of INCREASING customer spend within the community, as most of the producers there are local!!
It is a shame that all some people can do is moan about the lack of seating, rather than be proud that there are now some very successful events providing entertainment and attracting people to the Gloucester area.
I can't wait for the next event, I will be stocking up on all the lovely things on offer.”

“Jas37, Well said ! With nearly half the population consisting of older people , in addition to those with small children, and those with mobility difficulties it is essential that there is adequate seating , not only at these individual functions, but at all times .”

“Of course I should have said patience rather than patients.”

“I don't know where Richard Rawlings of The Quays gets the idea that "their are plenty of Bars and Restaurant's at The Quays".
A bit of sunshine and the return of the monthly Market resulted in it being nearly impossible to find a seat in any of them.
How many people will lose patients when it comes to events such as the Tall Ships, Food festivals etc.
What a great way of reducing customer dwell time to a minimum, yes ensure that people have nowhere to sit down and spend their money.”
