Former Gloucester RAF man turns cartoonist
After years working as an RAF administrator, a Quedgeley man is realising his dream to begin a full-time career as a cartoonist.
Tony Marriott, 43, has produced caricatures for friends and family for years, but is now beginning to make a living from his hobby.
Tony said: "Since 1998, I've created caricatures locally for dozens of people on a 'part-time' work basis, but after being made redundant a few months ago I decided to try to make my dream of doing them full-time a reality.
"With the backing of my long-suffering wife, I've built a website that offers affordable caricatures from fast 'email speedy' versions that are created primarily on computer, to highly-detailed hand-drawn, full-colour caricatures."
He added: "My business is really starting to fly as more and more customers are finding me on the net and I'm really excited about the future."
