Gloucester Rugby lock James Hudson still sidelined by pectoral muscle problem
JAMES Hudson will miss out on his Premiership debut for Gloucester for the third week in a row.
Gloucester’s new lineout leader has missed out on both the Sale and Saracens defeats with a pectoral muscle problem.
Kingsholm boss Nigel Davies had expected to have the former Newcastle Falcons captain back fit for Saturday’s home clash against Northampton Saints (kick-off 3.15pm).
But now the 31-year-old has failed to make it back in time to be in contention for the Saints clash.

Gloucester’s rugby director explained: “We had hoped James would be ready for this week, but he isn’t sadly.
“He should be one more week now before he makes a return.
“It’s frustrating, but that said, we’ve got the likes of Elliott Stooke coming through and this is going to be a big year for him.
“So we do have options in the second-row.”
Tighthead prop Shaun Knight came through Monday’s A League trip to Sale unscathed, and should make a first-team return against Northampton.
Nick Wood’s eight-week ban for his Saracens red card opens the door for Dan Murphy and Yann Thomas to dominate at loosehead.
Thomas will switch back after covering tighthead so far this term – making Matson man Knight’s return timely.
