Gloucester Rugby players bare almost all for Nick Wood's calendar

RIPPLING muscles made for the rigours of professional rugby feature in all their glory for Gloucester star Nick Wood's testimonial year calendar.

The prop, who is marking 10 years at the club alongside second row Alex Brown with a testimonial year, commissioned the cheeky pictures.

Brown has opted for action shots, including some soaring line-out leaps, but Wood and colleagues willingly stripped off for the 2013 calendar.

"It's a little bit tongue-in-cheek and hopefully there to be appreciated," said Wood.

As a no-nonsense prop who gets around the field well, it's not hard to see why he is cherished by Kingsholm fans. And they have plenty more chances to support him, and the charities which will also benefit.

The curry tour continues in to next year and a Christmas party is planned for December 19.
