Gloucester Rugby's home shirts finally in
FANS cheering on the Cherry and Whites this weekend can finally get their hands on the team’s new kit.
The home strip was believed to be stuck in customs a day before Gloucester Rugby lost 16-22 to Sale Sharks in Kingsholm on Saturday.
Stocks finally arrived Tuesday evening, much to the relief of fans and store managers at Hudson and Co Sports Outfitters in Northgate Street, Gloucester.
They were available to purchase from 10am yesterday at the official store in Kingsholm Stadium and at Hudson in the city centre.

Stocks of the team’s new away kit of pink and blue were already on sale last Friday, but the iconic cherry red and whites were missing from the shelves.
And with the Cherry and Whites expected to don the home kit when taking on the Saracens in Allianz Park this Sunday, fans will be able to be cheer the players on in the new strip.
Gaz Davis, who works at Hudson, said: “Our pre-orders have gone through the roof. We have had massive interest about the new shirts, and fans were very keen to get one before the first match last week.
“We never heard what the problem was, but we thought it must have been stuck in customs.
“It is a bit of a shame really, not having the shirts for the first game.
“I think the new kit is the best looking one since I joined the shop about four years ago. They look really smart.”
The club shop at the stadium is managed by Hudson and Co, which has taken delivery of home and away replica shirts this week.
Adult shirts are priced at £50, are made by rugby clothing firm Kooga, from a new fabric called Evaporex II, a polyester thermal mix “designed to wick away perspiration creating the ideal body climate”.
Gloucester Rugby usually changes the team strip every other season, and with a new sponsor, have done so for the upcoming season.
