Seven of the players that started against Fiji are rewarded with spots amongst the replacements as the coaching team look to freshen things up ahead of their third match in eight days.
Having had last weekend off at the Liberty Stadium, the 12 changes need a good run out with the Premiership resuming at home to Sale next weekend.
After edging out tomorrow’s opponents at the Kassam Stadium at the end of September, forwards coach Carl Hogg says a good performance is vital with so many line-up alterations.
“First and foremost, we’re going into the game looking for a performance. We can’t get carried away with outcomes,” said Hogg.
“London Welsh gave us a very tough time down there in the Aviva Premiership. There were one or two critical moments where we managed to get on top down there.
“They’re a very difficult team to break down and bring different challenges. We need to perform well on Saturday, get our first 20 minutes right and see where the game takes us.
“But, we’re under no illusions. It’s a very tough task against London Welsh at the weekend.”
Gloucester Rugby: Rob Cook; Shane Monahan, Mike Tindall (capt), Billy Twelvetrees, Steph Reynolds; Freddie Burns, Jimmy Cowan; Nick Wood, Huia Edmonds, Rupert Harden; Tom Savage, Will James; Akapusi Qera, Matt Cox, Ben Morgan. Replacements: Koree Britton, Dan Murphy, Dario Chistolini, Peter Buxton, Ross Moriarty, Dave Lewis, Tim Molenaar, Drew Locke

“Quote: "The troll akadau won't be there to see it though."
Of course he won't. The sad inconsequential old man doesn't go to any Gloucester games.”

“No doubt Rupert Harden will demonstrate, once again, why he is Gloucester Rugby's top tight-head on the pitch this afternoon.
The troll akadau won't be there to see it though.”

“...He certainly wouldn't know that London Welsh will include three Gloucester old boys in their squad today; Tom Voyce, Adam Balding and Nick Runciman.”

“Akadau, the resident troll also going under various other identities such as, Gordon_P, peh45, glawsteruk1, graybaggs, RuckandRoller, GlosRugbyMan, hasn't the foggiest about Gloucester Rugby. His interest is in trolling.”

“I think that akadau's feelings might be a bit "injued" because Harden is still the number one tight-head at Gloucester and that is why he is selected to start once again.”

“Rupert Harden, our top tight head prop at Gloucester Rugby, starts once again. That annoys the hell out of the trollster akadau which makes Harden's selection all the more sweeter.”

“Not only can akadau the troll not get Shaun Knight's name right, but what on earth is "injued"?”

“Goodness knows how Cook gets selected. The sooner May gets fit again, the better.”

“It is obvious what is going on here. Davies has selected his team that will start uin the Premiership in a huge ganme against Sale. He wants his best players match hardened for that encounter and he has gone for his "go to" players like Harden etc. Obviously we have been hit by injuries and call ups on the wings.”

“Who is this SEAN Knight person that the troll akadau keeps going on about? Does he even know the slightest thing about who plays for Gloucester Rugby?”
