Gloucester - Swindon rail death man named locally
A MAN who died after being hit by a train has been named locally as Stephen Kelly.
The Gloucestershire Coroner has yet to officially identify the man but The Citizen understands Mr Kelly, of Walkley Hill, Rodborough, Stroud, was killed when the 7.11am service passed through Standish on Wednesday.
The First Great Western Gloucester to Swindon service was near Standish Junction when the collision happened at around 7.22am.
Medics declared him dead at the scene and British Transport Police are not treating the cause of the death as suspicious.

Until the victim is formally identified either today or early next week, his name will not be officially released but Rodborough residents have told The Citizen they have been shocked and saddened by his death.
