“I feel for this little girl who is no way at fault, she should not have an I pod at five - this makes her a target for vile theives who would not think twice about snatching it. She is majorly distressed because she has lost something precious (at her age she has no idea how to be responsible for such a valuable item) - The content on these things is not very age appropriate for five they can end up downloading all sorts from the free apps.

I don't think it is people being jealous - you can spend £200 on the lastest toy for christmas but it highly unlikely somebody will want to pinch the lastest sylvaian house. You can get little MP3s fro music and a cheap digital camera for pictures.

I'm sure she had her comfort hug as her parents seem brilliant to me that they would go to this much effort to get the ipod pictures returned. They mention visiting the 2nd hand shops to report details then to the police station and this reminds me of something my caring parents would do. I remember one wasted afternoon for me and my parents walking back in to town and a visit to the police station trying to find a chain I had lost in town that was of sentimental value.

As for those that mention a 5 year old shouldn't have an Ipod need to understand things change and they just sound jealous to me that her parents could afford a nice gift. Its not this girls fault if all you had to play with at Christmas was your dads winky. Also I would like to point out that Graham has not complained about the cost of losing the ipod so maybe he can afford a new one maybe he can't but he is going to all this effort to return the photos to his daughter.

Graham, I wish you the best of luck on getting back the ipod and Amy is lucky to have such a great Dad. The fact you have not responded to all these idiotic comments show how respectable you are.
