Gloucester officers cover for Manchester colleagues on day of officer's funeral
POLICE from Gloucester have been assisting the force in Manchester.
Thousands of officers from across the country attended PC Nicola Hughes's funeral yesterday.
The policewomen died after attending what had appeared to be a routine burglary call on September 18.
Gloucestershire Constabulary supported Greater Manchester Police by sending two nominated operational officers for cover to enable GMP officers to attend the funeral.
