One in one out for Gloucester's Scottish
IT was a case of one in one out for Gloucester's Scottish contingent as Andy Robinson dropped Rory Lawson and picked Alasdair Dickinson on the bench yesterday.
Scotland face Ireland at Croke Park on Saturday with prop Dickinson (pictured) included after missing out last week with a head injury picked up playing for Gloucester against Wasps, joining hooker Scott Lawson on the bench.
Loose-head Dickinson was actually passed fit by doctors to take a spot on the bench for Gloucester against Cardiff in the LV= Cup semi-final, and came on as a second-half substitute.
Rory Lawson came off the bench in Scotland's 15 all draw with England, but loses his place because of the return to fitness of Edinburgh's Mike Blair, making him available for Gloucester in the LV= Cup final on Sunday.
Alasdair Strokosch, a regular starter before the competition, misses the game after aggravating his ankle injury playing for Gloucester against Wasps, meaning his chances have been limited to one appearance off the bench in this season's Six Nations.
Northampton prop Euan Murray keeps his place in the Scotland front row meaning he will not play in the LV= Cup final at Sixways on Sunday.
