Gloucester's mysterious Banksy style graffiti artist strikes again
HAVE you seen the latest creature creations by Gloucester's very own Banksy?
This stunning leopard has been found prowling on the hoardings around the "media block" opposite Gloucester Library in Brunswick Road.
A chimp drinking out of a cup has also been drawn on the boards.
It was noticed by Citizen photographer Mikal Lidlow on Saturday.

An image of an armchair and a footstool was discovered on top of the NCP car park above the Eastgate Shopping Centre two weeks ago.
And before Christmas, an image of the Cat in the Hat was found high up in the Oxebode above the Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

“Laura Enfield should try visiting Gloucester occasionally. Then she might notice when graffiti has been there for eight or nine months.”

“when I move to Gloucester 18 years ago there were two sets of this style of graffiti on telephone junction boxes one at Barton Lights the other at King Edwards /Stroud Road junction. They were of a girl blowing heart shaped bubbles, they have just faded away over the years. There is now a set of Felix the cat stencils out side the the entrance of the covered market which are fun. also random pigeons and bananas can be found dotted about. The best Graffiti ever was the heart felt "Gloucester Renaissance my ....." painted in large black letters on the hoarding of the Gloscat Building.Given the complete lack of progress at that site I think it rather prophetic. And don't forget the "Romans go home" added to Nerva's statue . Humour and creativity always a welcome distraction from the hoardings and empty shops.”

“Watch out, Frank will muscle in on the story shortly, or maybe there'll be a flurry of big cat sightings in the next couple of weeks, anything to keep the myth going.”
