Gloucester stalwart Pete Buxton retires from rugby before start of first season at Bristol
GLOUCESTER stalwart Pete Buxton has sprung a surprise by retiring from rugby – a month before starting the first season of a two-year deal at Bristol.
The 34-year-old flanker left Kingsholm after 11 years in the summer, to join Andy Robinson’s revamp designed to take Bristol back to the Premiership.
But the Cheltenham-born former Newport battler has now decided to hang up his boots instead.
And Bristol have agreed to release the reliable and gritty loose-forward from his contract.
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50
