Gloucestershire College announces new principal
MATTHEW Burgess has been named as the new principal of Gloucestershire College.
Mr Burgess, who currently holds the position of vice principal for strategy, resources and business development at the college, was selected following a three-month national recruitment campaign.
The 45-year-old joined the Gloucestershire College senior management team in 1998 following three years at Stockport College. He spent his early career with KPMG.
Mr Burgess will take over as principal and chief executive in August, ready for the new academic year, when the current principal, Dr Greg Smith, retires after 16 years.
