Gloucestershire firefighters' quick action prevents major blaze
THE quick action of fire crews prevented a major blaze from breaking out in an industrial laundry.
More than 20 firefighters tackled the fire at Mickleton, near Chipping Campden yesterday afternoon at around 4.25pm.
On arrival, crews found a fire in an industrial washing machine with flames coming from the front of building.
Due to the quick action of the crews a major fire was prevented. Two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used to extinguish the fire.

The service received a call from a member of the public who could see flames inside the laundry.
One appliance from Chipping Campden fire station, and another appliance from Stow on the Wold fire station were sent to the fire, with a total of 10 firefighters.
Due to the location of the incident two further appliances were mobilised from Stratford Upon Avon and Shipston on Stour with 11 firefighters.
The crews were on the scene for a total of 50 minutes.
