professional players including Hamish Marshall, Will Gidman and Ian Saxelby
during a packed ceremony at Filton College's WISE Campus.
The night also celebrated the success of the Gladiators
squad who were all in attendance.
Awards for the Most Improved Player, Best Performance and
Player of the Year were given out at every age group level.
The winners came from a variety of clubs across the county and from Bristol.
Poulton CC's Harvey Jupp and Jonnie Gunn both picked up awards at under 11 level while Cirencester CC also had two winners, James Boyle (Under 10 player of the year) and Kit Penny who took the under 12 performance of the year prize.
Gloucestershire cricket development manager Steve Silk, who
attended the presentation evening, said: "The poor weather this summer has made
it an incredibly difficult season for everyone but it is wonderful to see that
even after a year like this there is still so much to celebrate.
"Our thanks go out to all our coaches, parents, players and
clubs for their support in trying to ensure as many games were played as
possible.
"Evenings like this highlight the wealth of talented young
players we have in Gloucestershire and the great job being done by coaches at
both club and county level. The future looks bright for Gloucestershire age
group cricket and ultimately the County Club who will benefit from the players
coming through."
