Sunseekers in Gloucestershire are set for a weekend of "classic English summer weather".

Despite light showers on Friday morning, fine conditions are set to continue into Saturday and Sunday, but without the stifling heat of the past week.

Temperatures will hover around the mid to low 20s, with an altogether more breezy outlook.

Gloucestershire Media weather expert Ian Thomas said: "There will be one or two intermittent showers but they won't come to much.

"Overall we're looking at some classic English summer weather this weekend.

"It will be warm enough for shorts but the humidity levels will drop, making for an altogether more pleasant atmosphere."

“A nice weekend then! So the Car Boot sale at Longford Village Hall tomorrow morning 10.00-1.00pm will be able to go ahead.
The residents of Longford do need their Village Hall as a place of refuge in case it floods again. All the money raised will go to the up keep of the Hall.
My Ark is not big enough for them all just for my animals who will be staying in the Ark where it's cool”
