Good Samaritan sought by police following attempted robbery in Cheltenham

A Good Samaritan who offered to help a robbery victim has been asked to contact the police.

At approximately 6.10am yesterday, Tuesday January 29, a 17-year-old man was walking along Kingsmead Road in Cheltenham when a man approached him from behind, grabbed him and demanded his mobile phone.

The teenager refused to hand over his iphone, freed himself and ran away. He was not injured in the incident and nothing was stolen.

Shortly after the incident a man kindly approached the victim on Princess Elizabeth Way to check if he was ok.
