Google Trekker to film county canals
Backpacking filmers from Google Trekker are about to capture canals in Gloucestershire at Street View.
For the first time the scenery beside 100 miles of British waterways, including Saul Junction and Gloucester Docks, will be recorded for the web.
Google Trekker has teamed up with the Canal and River Trust, the charitable sucessor to British Waterways, for the project.
The Trekker, which has already put the Grand Canyon, on Street View, can reach locations that Street View car and trike can't visit.
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50

Google's Pascale Milite said there'd be 360 degree pictures taken every 2.5 seconds, which would then be added to Street View, available through Google Maps.
Wendy Hawk, from the Canal and River Trust, said: "We're delighted to be the first people in the UK to get Trekker on our backs.
"It's fantastic that our 200 year old network is being given a different lease of life thanks to cutting edge 21st century technology."
