He said: “She was very caring. She always wanted to help people if she could.”

The couple moved from Kent to Cheltenham in 1972.
Mrs Carlton also enjoyed gardening and was a warden at Asquith Road allotments.
In 2006, she picked up the prize for best allotment warden for her role there as part of the borough council awards.
Mr Carlton said: “She enjoyed having an allotment. We grew all our own vegetables. She was more of an expert than me, but I will try to keep it up.”
Mrs Carlton was interested in classical music and the couple regularly went to concerts at Cheltenham Town Hall and at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
Her daughter Carol said: “She was one of the nicest people you could know. She cared about people and tried to do things to help them.”
The incident happened at 5.10pm, on the junction of Leckhampton Road with Halland Road in Leckhampton.
Susan Allen, who lives in Leckhampton Road, said she heard the police sirens.
She said: “It’s very sad. The police were here for about three hours. They closed the road for a while. We weren’t sure what was going on.”
A police spokeswoman said: “A Land Rover Defender, which was driven by a 39-year-old man from Cheltenham, was in collision with a bicycle ridden by a 72-year-old woman from Cheltenham.
“The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol in a critical condition. She sadly died yesterday.”
