“I don't disagree with you, Willow, but that wasn't the thing that first caught my eye; why were two fire engines dispatched from Cheltenham and Stroud? We've got two fire stations here in Gloucester, and Hatfield Road is in Barton. How long did the fire engines take to travel all the way from Cheltenham (near Aldi) and Stroud (Paganhill Lane)? I have to assume that there was no fire engine available in Gloucester at that time, which is scary.”

“I was happily reading this thinking "This is really news?" until I read that there were no smoke detectors....glad everyone was ok - but really? No smoke detectors??? Could have been a lot worse...

Please everybody - smoke detectors cost nothing compared to the price of all your worldly goods and possessions...not to mention your lives. Buy some smoke detectors.”
