Harmful medication stolen from Abbeymead
A vet's tool box containing animal medication that could be fatal to humans has been stolen from a car in Abbeymead.
The theft happened in Cherrington Drive between midnight on Thursday August 30 and 4pm on Friday August 31 but was only reported today.
The black plastic box contained a clear bottle of pentobarbitone, which is used to put animals to sleep, a stethoscope and multi-tool gadget.
Officers are urging the thief not to use the medication but to hand themselves and the stolen goods into police immediately.

“you would think with the nature of these drugs - they would be required to be kept secured. Whilst nobody should steal, it is rather stupid to leave such dangerous medication in reach of the morons who break into cars. It has been highlighted about the amount of car thefts in Barnwood and Abbeydale lately. To report it 4 days after it was gone is also highly irresponsible.”
