ELLIOT Stooke and Billy Burns will help bolster the Hartpury line-up for the National Two South visit of Launceston tomorrow.

Second row Stooke is fit again following a foot injury while fly-half Billy Burns is also ready after injuring his shoulder while on Anglo-Welsh duty for Gloucester.

Both are available for selection against the Cornish All Blacks tomorrow, with Hartpury head coach John Barnes looking to 'kick on' now they have had the mid-season break.

"In some ways it has been good to have a rest, but obviously it is critical that we kick on now," said Barnes.

"Student holidays and representative squad sessions have meant that training opportunities as a team have been at a premium, but that is part and parcel of being a student side.

"However, it has given one or two players a good opportunity to get some needed recovery time.

"With things looking pretty tight for the rest of the season, we've got to make sure that we take every opportunity of picking up bonus points.

"There's never going to be an easy game in this league and we're expecting Launceston to be physical and well-drilled as per usual."

Following a longer than expected lay-off, due to the pre-Christmas postponement at Taunton, Hartpury are looking to ensure that they stay firmly among the pacesetters in a highly competitive division.

They currently sit second in the table, one point behind leaders Worthing, although with Henley and Redruth just a further point behind Barnes is well aware that things can change quickly.

The reverse fixture in September could not have been tighter, ending in a 24-24 draw.

The recent win by strugglers Dings Crusaders over then leaders Henley was enough to remind everybody that this is a league in which upsets are possible.
